Terms & Conditions

The MediHub app and MediHub website (www.medihubapp.com) and all other associated MediHub websites (collectively, the “App”) is owned and operated by Knowledge International Pty Ltd (ACN 630 519 185) (“MediHub”).  Your access and use of the MediHub app as well as the MediHub Website is conditional upon your acceptance and ongoing agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions, including all notices, conditions and disclaimers.  Your ongoing use of the MediHub app constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

The purpose of the Terms and Conditions is to explain the terms and conditions by which users of the MediHub app and visitors to the Website and registered members of MediHub can engage with the MediHub platform.  It contains important information, including, ownership of content, how MediHub manages personal information, how MediHub manages the safety of its registered members (including what may constitute inappropriate behaviour) and MediHub general disclaimers.

MediHub reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions without notice.  Accordingly, visitors to the Website and registered members are encouraged to periodically familiarise themselves and re-visit these Terms and Conditions on a regular basis.

 

MEMBER-GENERATED CONTENT AND INFORMATION

MediHub encourages registered members to share their thoughts, opinions and content with other members.   Any content produced by a member and shared with others, belongs to the author of that content.  Additionally:

​

  1. for any content a member generates, including text, images, videos (member content), MediHub has a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use the member content for the purpose of, or in connection with, MediHub.

  2. Members acknowledge that while content may be deleted at any time, their content may be stored by MediHub in backup files or for archiving purposes.

  3. MediHub appreciates any feedback you may be offered, including any enhancements or improvements to the MediHub platform as well as the MediHub Website. Visitors to the Website and registered members acknowledge that any suggestions made to modify or improve the Website may be implemented without any recognition, attribution or compensation of any kind.

REGISTRATION AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

MediHub is a professional medical community, so the accuracy and completeness of member’s personal and professional information, both in registration and Profile creation, is very important.  MediHub, therefore, requires that:

​​

  • members are either one of the following;

    • currently “registered” on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency’s (AHPRA) Register of Practitioners;

    • student enrolled in a university undertaking a medical degree or qualification

    • or, is a member of the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM)

  • the information that is provided is complete, accurate and up to date;

  • members do not falsify any of their personal or professional information, including their medical college identification number;

  • members do not create more than one account, and if their account is terminated by MediHub for any reason, they will not create another account; and

  • members not let anyone else get access to their login details or otherwise have access to their account.

 

MEMBER SAFETY

MediHub is designed to be a portal for medical professionals to enhance their understanding on a raft of topics the platform will also allow for a collaborative environment, where professionals can freely exchange information in a safe and collegiate way.  As such, members are required to:

  • treat content providers and other members with dignity and respect, and have respect for the diversity of opinions and experiences;

  • act in accordance with commonly accepted industry practices and standards;

  • only publish content, which is reasonably believed to be accurate, based on best practice professional judgment (and not known or suspected to be misleading); and

  • comply with all laws, regulations, industry and association codes of practice.

 

Similarly, members must not:

  • intimidate, bully or harass content providers and or other members or incite any of these things;

  • post any content about any content provider, member or organisation that is defamatory;

  • post or contribute content, which by all reasonable standards is inappropriate, pornographic, gratuitously sexual in nature or contains gratuitous acts of violence;

  • allow non-members to access MediHub; or

  • rent, lease, sell, sublicense, assign, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, loan, distribute, export or otherwise transfer, or allow others to use MediHub, technology or other information, nor create derivative works.

 

If any member reasonably believes that another member is not acting in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, that member can be reported the “Contact Us” function in MediHub or by emailing the MediHub Team.

 

REMOVAL OF CONTENT OR TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP

MediHub takes the obligations to provide content providers and members with a safe, collaborative and respectful environment very seriously.  MediHub wants all content providers and members to enjoy their experience free of bullying, intimidation or harm.  Therefore, if MediHub is made aware of any content provider or member who infringes these Terms and Conditions, MediHub reserves the rights to:

  • delete any content providers or member’s content, which MediHub believes in its absolute discretion, violates these Terms and Conditions;

  • delete any of members content, which MediHub believes violates the law, infringes any other third-party’s intellectual property rights;

  • remove any content provided by a content provider and or member, which MediHub believes is disrespectful to another user of MediHub, which has the potential to incite violence or hatred to another MediHub user; and

  • immediately terminate the membership of any member, which MediHub believe in its absolute discretion, violates these Terms and Conditions.

 

ACCESS

​

To access the Website, visitors and members will need to access the world-wide-web (Internet). Visitors and members acknowledge that:

  • by accessing MediHub via the Internet, usage charges may be incurred from their Internet Service Provider, wireless carrier or any other method by with the Internet is accessed to use MediHub;

  • if there are any costs or charges associated with accessing the Website, including any software, hardware or equipment charges, these will be the visitor’s or member’s responsibility.

 

GENERAL DISCLAIMER

The content in MediHub contains the thoughts, opinions and experiences of content providers and other members.  MediHub is an information platform and is not to be used as a substitute for each member’s own individual circumstances, medical and professional judgment. Members should always seek advice from a registered or accredited professional in the area of that particular expertise.  Nor should a member utilise the advice of other members to diagnosis or for treatment of any health condition or problem. Members should not rely on information contained in MediHub for diagnosing, treating, curing, preventing, managing or otherwise addressing their patient’s health problems.

Accordingly, the information contained in MediHub, including, but not limited to, any text, photos, other images, video content and other related items, are intended as a reference resource and not as a complete reference.

MediHub has not taken any steps to confirm the accuracy of the information provided by contributors or presented by members.  To the maximum extent permitted by law (except for liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the consumer guarantees provided under the Competition Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and equivalent State legislation), MediHub is not responsible for any errors or omissions or for any consequences from the application of the information and make no warranty, expressed or implied, with respect to the currency, completeness, usefulness, or accuracy of the contents of the information in MediHub.
